A variety of sizes are offered mainly for personal preference and on-the-go situations. Smaller applicators are great for taking on a trip, where larger ones are a smart choice for the home or office. We'll try and share some intuition on the matter and help you make the best choice.

How Much Gel In A Treatment?

One treatment uses 0.5 ml of gel per tray (Upper & Lower), totalling 1 ml for each full smile treatment.

(e.g. If a person has one partial UPPER plate, then only the natural teeth will require gel, as it is not recommended for whitening dentures, veneers, or other artificial cosmetic replacements. In such a case, you would only whiten the bottom teeth which means a treatment is only 0.5 ml, doubling your applicator's number of treatments.)

What are my options?

BrightWhiteSmiles.net offers four sizes of applicators for your convenience. Our largest syringe holds 10 ml of gel, which equals ten treatments. Many of our regular customers consider it a two week supply, as they tend to whiten on the weekdays. Below is a list of the different applicator sizes we offer:

10 ml Syringe

5 ml Syringe

3 ml Syringe

This petit applicator holds 3 days worth of whitening gel and is great for on-the-go users. Small and compact, this syringe easily slips into a shaving kit for teeth whitening anywhere.

2.2 ml Travel Pen

This fashionable applicator slips into a pocket, purse, or suitcase, safely and without making a mess. The resealable, chrome finish applicator holds a 2 day supply of your preferred teeth whitening gel formula.

Hydrogen Peroxide Whitening

Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) is a naturally occurring chemical compound that decomposes into water and oxygen. It is because of the nature of its elements that it is regarded as a safe and effective means of conventional tooth whitening. H2O2 can cause irritation to gums if it comes in contact with them, so it is important to avoid contact. Concentrations above 10% are considered high concentrations, while those less than 10% are considered low concentrations for general public use. Most Over-The-Counter H2O2 whitening products range from 2% - 9% concentrations, while dental solutions may be as high as 18%.

Carbamide Peroxide Whitening

Typically, Carbamide Peroxide (CH6N2O3) products are more reliable, because the point of using CH6N2O3 is to achieve a higher concentration of H2O2 through active chemical decomposition without irritating of gums. (Our 44% Carbamide solutions decompose into 22% H2O2.)

Sodium Bicarbonate Whitening

Sodium Bicarbonate (NaHCO₃) can be successfully used to remove stains and discolorations from the surface (enamel) of teeth, thereby given teeth a whiter and brighter appearance. Brushing your teeth with baking soda removes stains caused by drinking tea, coffee, and sodas as well as chewing tobacco and smoking. Mixing baking soda and water releases free radicals from the mixture.
